# AI Syndicate Local

> A free, open dataset (CC BY 4.0) of which local businesses 12 AI assistants recommend, by U.S. city and service category. Published monthly by AI Syndicate Collective LLC (aisyndicate.com). Placement is never sold.

## Facts
- Latest edition: October 1, 2026 (2026-10-01)
- Cadence: monthly. Each edition is named by the ISO date it opens.
- Assistants asked: 12 (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Siri, Alexa, Grok, Meta AI, DeepSeek, Mistral), the same questions to each.
- "Named by 5 of 10": 10 assistants returned a usable answer for that city and category, and 5 of them named the business. When fewer answer than were asked, pages say so.
- Coverage: 30 cities live, 20 categories each, 12,929 ranked placements in the latest edition.
- Questions: a fixed, unbranded set per city and category, listed verbatim on each ranking page and never reworded.
