Flagship feature · AI Access Score

Before AI can recommend you, it has to see you.

Most sites fail the checks that gate AI visibility and never find out — blocked crawlers, missing schema, unclear entities, no machine-readable files. AI Access scores exactly that, 0 to 100, and shows you what's costing you before your competitor's site does the same thing better.

In short

AI Access is the score that predicts whether an AI engine can find, understand, and trust you enough to cite you — before it ever gets to judge you on the merits. It's not an SEO score. It's the gate in front of one.

~1 min
From pasting your domain to holding your score. No login, no code snippet, no DNS change.
30–65
Where most sites land on their first scan — usually with critical failures they never knew existed.
100 / 0
The target: a perfect score with zero open issues. It's reachable — we hold our own site to it.
The problem

Most sites are invisible to AI and don't know it.

Ranking well on Google no longer means an AI engine will ever mention you. Different gate, different rules — and almost nobody is checking them.

Bots get blocked by accident

A stray robots.txt rule, an old security plugin, or a CDN default can quietly wall off the exact crawlers ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity use to read the web — with zero warning in your analytics.

Content the model can't parse

Client-rendered pages, missing schema, and pages with no clear "what is this" signal all read as noise to a model deciding who to cite — even when the words are technically right there.

You find out from lost pipeline

Without a score, the first signal most brands get is a quarter of quietly declining leads — long after a competitor's site became the answer instead of theirs.

What it checks

Six categories. One score.

We publish the categories AI Access measures. The full weighted checklist — every one of the 30+ individual checks — only shows up on your own scan. That's on purpose: a published scoring formula is a formula people game, not one that tells the truth.

01

Crawl & access

Whether the AI bots that matter are actually allowed in — and whether what they see matches what a person sees.

02

Structured data & schema

Whether your pages carry the machine-readable markup engines lean on to understand what you are and what you offer.

03

Entity clarity

Whether your name, address, phone, and identity are consistent across your own site and the sources AI cross-checks.

04

Machine-readable files

llms.txt, agents.md, and robots.txt — the files purpose-built for AI agents, and whether yours actually exist and say the right thing.

05

Intent signals

Whether each page clearly telegraphs what it's for, so an engine can match it to the right question instead of skipping it.

06

Trend over time

Every re-scan plots against your history, so you can see the score — and the specific fixes behind it — actually move.

The unfair advantage

Everyone makes up a score. Ours comes from data.

Most "AI visibility scores" are invented — arbitrary points on a checklist a chatbot suggested. The AI Access score is measured: we operate our own crawlers and run citation probes across all 10 major engines, continuously, and every check traces back to that data. It's also why this is the most thorough audit you can run — we check everything, because we've watched everything get checked.

How everyone else scores

  • Ask a chatbot what to check, assign points that feel right, call it a score.
  • A handful of surface checks — usually against your homepage only.
  • The same recycled checklist as every other tool built the same way.
  • Never verified against how engines actually crawl, retrieve, and cite.

How the AI Access score is built

  • Measured, not invented. Every check and weight traces to observed engine behavior — our own crawlers, engine probes, and citation tracking across all 10 major AI engines.
  • The most thorough audit in the category. 30+ checks against every page we can discover — not a homepage spot-check.
  • Re-verified continuously. Our monitoring products run on the same pipeline — if a check drifts from engine reality, we feel it before you do.
  • Weights stay private. So the score measures readiness — not who read our formula.
See it for yourself

This is what your score looks like.

A real scan returns your number, your severity breakdown, and a first look at what's failing — instantly. The page-by-page detail, the exact fix for each issue, and the auto-apply tooling unlock from there.

  • Your 0–100 score, benchmarked against sites we've already scanned in your category.
  • Critical vs. moderate counts, so you know how urgent the situation actually is.
  • A first look at what's failing — enough to know this is real, not enough to fix it blind.
  • Full page-by-page findings + ranked fixes, unlocked the moment you're on a plan.
What "critical" actually means
Blocks an AI crawler from reaching content that should be citable
Leaves your identity ambiguous enough that a model won't risk citing you
Contradicts itself across sources in a way that erodes trust signals

The other 27 checks, and which ones apply to your site, are one scan away.

Scan. Score. Fix. Re-prove.

1

Scan

Enter your domain. AI Access crawls it the way an AI engine's own bots do — no login, no code, about a minute.

2

Score

You get a 0–100 number, a severity breakdown, and a preview of what's failing — instantly, for free.

3

Fix

On a plan, every issue gets a plain-language fix, ranked by impact — copy-paste, or auto-applied on supported CMSs.

4

Re-prove

Re-scan any time. Your score, and the specific checks behind it, are tracked so improvement is provable, not a promise.

Glossary

The vocabulary of AI readiness.

The terms your AI Access report uses — defined plainly, because a score you can't read isn't a score.

AI Access score
A 0–100 measure of whether AI engines can find, parse, and trust a site well enough to cite it — computed from crawl access, structured data, entity clarity, machine-readable files, and intent signals.
AI crawler
The bot an AI engine sends to read the web — like GPTBot (OpenAI), ClaudeBot (Anthropic), Google-Extended, or PerplexityBot. If it's blocked, that engine can't cite you.
llms.txt
A machine-readable index file at the root of a site that tells AI agents what the site is and where its most citable content lives.
agents.md
A companion file to llms.txt that gives AI agents structured instructions for interacting with a site.
Entity clarity
How unambiguous a brand's identity is to a machine: consistent name, address, phone, and cross-referenced identifiers across the site and third-party sources.
Structured data JSON-LD
Schema.org annotations that describe what a page is — an organization, a product, an FAQ — in a form AI engines parse directly instead of guessing.
FAQ

Questions about AI Access.

What is AI Access?

AI Access is AI Syndicate's readiness score. It scans a site the way an AI engine's crawler does and scores it 0 to 100 across the checks that gate visibility — crawl access, structured data, entity clarity, and machine-readable files like llms.txt and agents.md — then ranks the gaps by impact.

How is AI Access different from an SEO score?

SEO scores mostly predict rankings in a list of blue links. AI Access predicts something upstream of that: whether an AI engine's crawler can even reach, parse, and trust your content well enough to consider citing it at all. A site can rank well on Google and still fail most of the checks that keep it out of AI answers entirely.

What exactly does AI Access check?

It spans several categories: crawl access (whether AI bots are actually allowed in), structured data and schema coverage, entity clarity and name/address/phone consistency, machine-readable files (llms.txt, agents.md, robots.txt), and intent signals that tell engines what a page is for. We publish the categories; the full weighted checklist is revealed on your own scan, not published generically — that's what keeps the score meaningful instead of something people game.

Is the free scan really free?

Yes. Running your AI Access score costs nothing and takes about a minute — you get the 0-100 score, the count of critical and moderate issues, and a preview of what's failing. The full page-by-page breakdown and ranked fix list unlock with an AI Syndicate plan.

What's a good AI Access score?

We consider 100 with zero issues the real target — most sites we scan for the first time land between 30 and 65, with at least a few critical, invisible-by-default failures they never knew about.

Do I need to be technical to fix a low score?

No. Every finding ships with plain-language guidance and, on paid plans, copy-paste fixes or direct auto-apply into supported CMSs. You don't need to know what schema.org or llms.txt are going in.

Does my score change over time?

Yes. AI Access is tracked, not one-and-done — every re-scan is plotted against your history so you can see the score, and the specific fixes behind it, compound month over month.

How long does an AI Access scan take?

About a minute for most sites. You enter a domain — no login, no code snippet, no DNS change — and AI Access crawls it the way an AI engine's own bots do, then returns the score instantly.

Which AI engines does AI Access predict visibility for?

The checks map to how the crawlers and retrieval systems behind ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Meta AI, Grok, DeepSeek, and Mistral read the web — plus the voice assistants (Siri, Alexa+) that increasingly answer through them.

How is AI Access different from other AI visibility checkers?

Two ways: thoroughness, and where the score comes from. Most checkers run a handful of surface checks — usually homepage-only — with points assigned arbitrarily, because they were built by asking a chatbot what to test. AI Access runs 30+ checks against every page we can discover, and the score is measured, not invented: every check comes from operating our own crawlers, engine probes, and citation tracking across all 10 major engines, continuously. The weights stay private so the score measures readiness, not who read the formula.
