What is AI Syndicate Local?
A free, public ranking of the local businesses AI assistants recommend. Every month we ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and 8 more AI assistants the questions real customers ask — "Who's the best plumber in Tampa?" — and publish who they name, city by city and category by category.
Which AI assistants do you ask?
12 of them: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Siri, Alexa, Grok, Meta AI, DeepSeek, Mistral. Every one gets the exact same questions.
What does "named by 7 of 10 AIs" mean?
We ask all 12 assistants every month. Ten of them gave a usable answer for that city and category, and seven of those ten put the business in their answer. When every assistant answers, the count reads "of 12". Businesses rank by how many times they were named across every answer; when two are named equally often, the one more assistants agree on ranks higher.
How often are the rankings updated?
Every month. The current edition covers October 2026; the next publishes in November 2026. Each ranking shows who moved up or down since the last one.
Can a business pay to be ranked?
No. Placement is never for sale and there is no editorial weighting — rankings come only from what the assistants answered, and the full method is published.
Why do some cities say "coming soon"?
Because we only publish once enough real AI answers are in. Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, New York and Texas cities are being measured today; Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, New York and Texas are live. We publish measurements, never guesses.
