What could AI search add for real estate agents?

The calculator below opens with starting numbers for a typical real estate agent or team. Change them to yours and see the extra leads, closings and revenue if AI tools named you more often.

The calculator

Quick answer

With our starting numbers for real estate agents (25 leads a month, 10% close rate, $9,000 per closing, 30% of buyers asking AI first, AI score 40 raised to 80), the calculator estimates about 52 more leads, 5 more closings and $46,806 more revenue a year, or $35,104 in year one while it ramps up. That is about $28,083 in added profit a year at full speed. An estimate, not a promise.

What starting numbers does the calculator use for real estate agents?

These are our starting guesses so the page shows a number right away. Replace every one with yours. "What one new client is worth" means your commission from one closing, not the sale price of the home.

At a 60% margin that is about $28,083 in added profit a year once you reach score 80. The report compares that with AI Managed, from $3,000 a month. At these starting numbers year-one profit is lower than that cost, and the report says so. Teams with more leads or bigger commissions come out differently, so put in your own. The "AI names you" rates, the 32.5% middle rate and the 6-month ramp are our own estimates.

What do buyers ask AI when they need one?

In BrightLocal's 2026 survey of 1,002 US adults, 45% had used ChatGPT or another AI tool for local business recommendations, up from 6% the year before (source).

These are examples of the questions we test for real estate agents. Each one is a moment when a buyer asks an AI tool instead of scrolling a list of links:

  • "Best real estate agent in [your town] for first-time buyers"
  • "Who sells the most homes in [your neighborhood]?"
  • "Should I sell my house now or wait in [your city]?"
  • "Which agents in [your town] specialize in luxury homes?"

If the answer names three businesses and yours isn't one, that buyer never sees you.

What makes AI name one real estate agent over another?

In our audits of real estate agents these are the things we check first:

  • One page per neighborhood or town you work, with real facts about it.
  • Your sales record on the big profiles (Zillow, Homes.com, Realtor.com) filled in and matching your site.
  • A bio that says who you help (first-time buyers, luxury, relocation) in plain words.
  • Reviews that mention the neighborhood and the type of sale.
  • Your brokerage and license stated clearly, the way your state requires.

Which number should a real estate agent change first?

What one new client is worth. Your commission from one closing, not the home price.

"What one new client is worth" means your commission, not the home price. That one number decides most of the answer.

FAQ

Questions from real estate agents

Should I put in the home price or my commission?

Your commission from one closing. Putting in the home price would make the answer about 30 to 40 times too big.

Why does the report say it may not pay for itself?

Because at the starting numbers (25 leads a month, 10% close rate, $9,000 commission) the year-one profit is smaller than our managed plan. That's an honest result. Put in your own numbers. A team with more leads usually comes out differently.
